I needed the space so I decided to incorporate my music room into my HT. I changed the entire audio set up. I am now using my yamaha m80 to drive the front speakers, The Integra is only driving the center channel speakers. My Kenwood is driving the rear surrounds and I have a separate amp for the subs,(2) Plus one that is self powered. I decided to use the Crown XLS 202 to drive the surrounds.(Polk rti a9's which I bi-wired).
I can turn the gain up all the way on the polks and run it in stereo and the clipping lights never even flicker. When I was driving the front channels with the crown before I changed it over I could only run the gains at about 70% before the clipping lights would start to flicker. I reset all the levels tweaked it all for maximum soundstage and it never clips. At all. Even at full volume in stereo. I am not complaining, just confused.
P.S. I DO hear a difference in bi-wiring, I cant figure out why but its there.

If your Polk's were a little muddy or lacking in detail, bi-wiring should have helped that.

OK on the bi-wiring thing, I hooked them up A B to the Adcom speaker switcher I have and had 3 people listen. All 3 preferred the bi wire set up. There IS a difference.
