Thanks for your reply Case, what exactly is deflection shake?

Its simular to what you describe.

Clean all the yoke connections with an electronic cleaning spray or isopropyl alcohol, and then put them back on.

Hard to say if itll do anything for you, but worth a shot.

Hahaha, well I think there are many more songs to relate, not to mention the last one.. however, it does not explain the differences on the board:)

What do those little yellow plugs mean, and am I allowed to change them?

Sorry, didn't see the post with the pix of the board. That's the sync board (or part of it). Those controls should be labelled, and no, generally they should not be played with, but since you have two, put the worst one back in and adjust the controls SLIGHTLY, remembering where they go if you make the problem worse. Since you have a backup board though, I would try tweaking, since after 20 years, parts may have drifted to the point where they affect the image.

Placed the original board back, but after some tweaking did not manage to get the image stable. I am already happy that it's not doing that hippy shake anymore.

Anyway, while making it all look better, here is my final problem: https://www.dropbox.com/s/emgq7310rl6ze2u/IMG_20130309_190729%20%281%29.jpg

1. As you can see, both left and right the raster is continuing, however I cannot see it, whatever I try by guides or manuals, it seems I cannot change this. Also when looking trough the lamps, I can see the raster stopping.

2. The imagine is not straight, with that I mean, both middle up/down are 'pushed' in, I have a feeling that this could also be hardware related..

I am mostly concerned about point one, its just really weird that I cannot change this, any suggestion is welcome and thanks in advance!
