Hello,

I recently managed to get a very nice stable picture from my BG808 at 1080i@96. The problem is that I now see a horizontal thin grey line in the middle of the picture. It is more visible on the left side and is very difficult to notice near the right side of the picture. I only see it on clear uniform picture (like a light blue sky). I don't think that it is related to my OPOO 103 or my Lumagen XD/HDQ (I have both).
I remeber a friend having o similar problem on a BV700 and a black horizontal line. To fix it, he needed to adjust a screw on a board. Maybe it is the same solution but where is it on the BG 808.
Thanks for your help.

This is called the 'line of coincidence', and was a common issue with BArcos at some resolutions. It's similar to 'banding' on the Marquees. THe only way to get rid of it is to reduce the top and bottom pin and key controls towards 50%. You will compromise some geometry top and bottom, but it will get rid of that line.

Thanks Curt.
What do ou mean by top and bottom pin and key controls? Is it the geometry adjustements (vertical or horizontal) ?

SOrry, in the geometry menu, the top and bottom pincushion and keystone controls. IF you put up an all white field at low contrast rather than the internal test pattern, you'll see the line slowly go away as you bring those controls closer to the 50 mark. You'll need to play with the controls to compromise between a line that you can barely see and how good the geometry is top and bottom.

Thanks Curt. I made some changes and the line almost disappeared. My left side doesn't look straight, but it is still ok. My wall is not perfectly planar, so my geometry won't never look perfect anyway.
