Help!
One:
I have problems to capture this. I have a discoloured circle on the blue channel. The more I focus the blue tube, the more the circel moves to the center of the screen/active phosphor area. If I defocus blue to much for usage, the darker circle moves outside the screen or to its edge. If forces me to defocus blue a lot, and gives me probably the first time a good white balance. I live with this for some time now, as it is only visible in a very bright sceen (like tube masks on the edges of a screen). It started (educated guess) when I did this: http://www.curtpalme.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=350608&highlight=#350608. Well, the focus board or HDM dropped that day about 10 inch...
No contrast modulation board installed, all resolutions.
Two:
Moome ext 3d and Ultra....well that one is spooky.
If I feed frame packed 50/60hz 720p material to the moome, the moome card correctry outputs 720p 100/120. So far so good, but: When I connect the Ultra to the moome, he/it/she (the Ultra) shows a frame packed signla (over and under at 50/60hz)! Any other analog device shows frame sequential at 100/120 when connected to the moome - and I did hotswap between them (analog devices like 1272 and the Ultra.
Next step was to connect a VGA splitter (not an y-cable, a real electric splitter) to the VGA port of the moome. Now any analog device shows frame sequential while the Ultra still (simultaniously) scans frame packed!
Thanks
Marc

Hello
Blue always does that, it darkens when it is most focussed. Maybe try another focus yoke.

Hello Marc,
I can't really imagine what's going on there so I'd like to see that in real life. What about this idea:
When I'll be picking up the HD10-GT17 lenses I can bring along some spares and we can do some testing. I have a Moome Ext 3D, a Focus Geometry Board and all kinds of other Marquee boards (everything tested and known working). I could make measurements on the different Deflection/Focus/Astig coils in order to have a reference...
Regards,
barclay66

Sure Jorge - thanks - just get back when you are not busy anymore. Hopefully I will not be chained with sth. Today I have a half day off - so I checked the Marquee. Removed FGM/HDM, rejumpered HDM but blue still has this colour/contrast differnce.
I was also reading today about the BLACKBOX on the FGM, and how the dip switch settings are (and changed them). I read about your curve/dome/Special Deflection Processor Board, Jorge. No idea were this sits, but you can check my Marquee then for one too.

Do you have a Contrast Modulation Module in the unit?

I see one to. Could it be an internal menu?

Yes, seems like CRT people have good eyes. Guess that why they use CRTs...
I made the photos while changing the blue focus, so you see in the blue test pattern in the blue menu when changing the blue focus.
I will try to make a video of this problem....

Well Tim, a shot in the right direction!
I had the focus problems last time, after I inserted the plugs to the FGM 180 degrees wrong. On the hunt for the problem I redid Stigmators, and then again when I returned the plugs in the right position. MR. Lazy Ass did Stigmators on blue only in the center (and not very good) and about close to nothing in the edges. That results in an uneven darkening and brightening when focus is adjusted. So with careful Stigmators on blue, I have an even blue output - no matter what focus I use for blue!
Thanks Tim!
Thanks Athanasios!
And thanks Jorge! But after me havy mistreating my Marquee - you should have a look at it nevertheless
...the moome card works great for framesequential, and I use it via Pc. Frame packed forces you to use 720p 50/60 (100/120). But the moome card works in framesequential also for my 2,39 setup in 1280x536 96/100/120/144/150 or 1920x800 96hz. Frame packed would only be nice for the future if a PS3 is here.
