Hi guys and gals,

I am new here but have already read threads here in the past.

Unfortunately my barco 808 has developed a problem so good bye lurker status Mr. Green

After turning the projector on the blue and red tubes begin to flicker and turn off occasionally for a very short time. Green is rock steady. It gets better over time and after warming up I can usually watch a movie. Happens also with the internal test pattern so it's not input related.

I bought a second Graphics and was able to confirm that the PS, EHT board and RGB amplifiers are not the problem by swapping the boards. I think it might be the splitter but hesitate a little to change this one. Everything over 100V gives me the creeps.

Anything I can do to further diagnose the problem besides swapping parts?

Measure the 17 volt test point on the SMPS. If it's drifted, that can happen.

Thanks for the tip. I think that was also one of the cards I changed. Will recheck it tomorrow.

Today just happy new year!

Spare projector is up and running. Swapped the SMPS with the one from my problem unit. No change. Blue and red flickers and go out briefly sometimes. Green is stable.
