Hi Guy's,
Looking for the RS232 pinout for my AMX control of my Marquee,
From my quick look, stress, QUICK, 2,3,&5 are the pins I need.


Can anyone also confirm, please.

2 is Rx, 3 is Tx, 5 is Ground at the Marquee.

Are you sure of the Rx and TX, I do trust your Marquee knowledge,

I checked the schematics of the CLM, and looked like they were the other way around.

Googled it, got your answer, schematics are the opposite.

Anyone else comment,

Not sure what you're asking. RS232 is either straight or null. Null is reversed (see image below).

So it shouldn't matter what the pin-out is, it should simply be rather it's "null" or "straight" if you're going from DB9 to DB9 connection.

Hi,

Serial cables for the Marquee should be straight (DB9 pins: 2 - 2, 3 - 3, 5 - 5). Just built a new one last week as I needed a longer one after mounting the PJ on the ceiling...

It is RS232 from my NI3100 AMX controller to the Marquee.

Just trying to be sure before I solder the plugs and tidy all the cable, just do not want to redo it again.
