Me too! I'm just trying to figure out where I'd put it.

I want to plug it into my reel to reel

Awesome! Listen to all your crappy compressed MP3 audio, but the tubes make it all better.

Cool looking, but hifi? I think not! Smile

It's kind of neat, but I'm sorry... It's WAY too expensive for what it is. $775 for the amp and speakers in the photo above. As they mention and Curt pointed out... Bluetooth audio is compressed, which sort of defeats the purpose.

If you wanted wireless - and truly hifi - from an iOS device, I'd have my audio in Apple Lossless, streaming to an AppleTV or Airport Express via AirPlay with a good D/A converter, then into one of a slew of different tube amps, then to whatever speakers you prefer.

Not sure what the solutions are for wireless if you're not iOS-centric. I know there are some alternatives to compete with AirPlay, but not as polished or as ubiquitous.

I'd just rather have the amp separate from the "high-tech". That way, when the "high-tech" is obsolete in a year or two (i.e., the Bluetooth standard changes), you can swap out $100-150 external box, and your tube amp has much better longevity.

I use bluetooth on my old Marantz and the sound quality is great, if you have crap files - they will sound like crap over bluetooth, but with Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR and A2DP profile support the ability to stream music from a phone or computer is awesome.
Bluetooth has way more bandwidth than those lousy earpieces and handsfree car speakers use.
