I too have a Marantz SR7002. The unit is locked in flashing standby with @ 1 sec intervals. However its a coded rate- see video
https://youtube.com/shorts/2Zh-Oxm77R8?si=NaLfbguAs6_5B5ym
These are my observations:
- I don't hear the relay RY701 on the standby PCB click on.
- The _P_DOWN voltage +5VL on the standby board the only voltage present at connector CN70.
- No other voltage/s. Looks like stanby signal coming from DSP board.
- I have check R903 and R904 both seem ok measuring bout 39ohms in circiut.
- When I try to power the amp up with the remote control the stby LED stops flashing for 3.5secs then returns to flashing as in the video.
I would like to give this as a working Amplifier to a friend who can't afford one. Any help to finding the fault I would appriciate.

Hi there, when you checked R903 and R904 did you desolder them first then ohm them? I don’t think you can accurately check them in place. Also since I replaced my resistor (R 903) my unit is still functioning properly! Good luck with yours !!

HI Poorshh,
No I left both R903/4 in circuit so I will remove and test them this mornig and let you know if this was my mistake.
Thanks for the suggestion

I just desoldered and checked R903 and R904, Both are OK and show no signs of stress.
The Main power transformer supplies the +/-16.7 V rails via the switchon relay RY55 on the pwr PCB and then via D905 rectifier.
Relay RY55 never pulls in and so none of the rail voltages come up. only the 5volt standby rail is active.
As the previous video shows, the STBY LED is flashing at weird non consistant intervals so I'm wondering if this is indicating error code not mentioned in the service manual?

Hi Tango46, sorry I can’t help you anymore with my limited knowledge. I got lucky with replacing the R903. I guess you read this thread from the beginning, lots of information here! Hopefully someone else can chime in and have some more suggestions. Keep us posted and good luck buddy!
