You should think Marquees are kicking ass until you see a NEC in action Wink

I've seen the NEC. Very Nice. I fact all CRT's are very nice!

Only ones I haven't seen are a Barco and the Mitsubishi.

I even seen a Seleco Sim HD800.

Just can't break the addiction!!!

I have reseated the boards and connectors that were accessible and still have the same error code. I don't think I am going to want to pull the tubes to get to the power supply boards without a service manual. Trades will be considered.

If you want to drive it down and carry it into the shop I would take a look at it. Depending on where you are @ Binghamton, it's around 50 miles from here.

My wife and I are trying to find it. I found the setup and install manual. How long do you think it will take to pull the Power 2 board? I have a spare machine..

Hal, please tell us about the Mitsu's performance, how handy is it with 720p, 1080i/p resolutions? How sharp are the lenses etc... Smile

Gjaky, it's a great unit. I run a PC and Direct TV 720p and 1080i. My screen is 124" diagonal. I feel that it gives a G70 a run for the money! With that said, I have been looking to get into a 9" CRT. I narrowed my choice to the 9500 Ultra or G90. What closed the deal for me is Craig comparison and his take on the 3D G90's...

Hal, I thought it is a great machine but the advertised bandwidth of the machine (80MHz) seems too low unfortunately. As far as I know this this is the only LC machine that has actually color filtered lenses, however only on blue and green lens instead of red and green, so it's an interesting machine that's for sure.

Any news on this? I have almost the same problem. A near mint VS-1281, whitest tubes I've ever seen in real life, somewhere in my storage. I've been tring to fix this for years now, but no luck on info or service manuals.
Same error and no obvious damaged components. Such a shame really...
Can imagine someone wanting this for spares, but unfortunately I live in the Netherlands Smile and I'd really like to fix it. Would be a nice upgrade for the BG808s with bad tubes I use at the moment!

Not yet. Unfortunately the day I picked it up i was coming down with the flu. The PJ is still on the Appliance dolly i put it on when my friend and I brought into the house. Its been 9 days since it's been home. Hopefully with in a couple weeks I'll be able to move it to the basement and begin work on it.
