I don't kow much about 'rec 2020' colorspace, but in general if a pj has the correct primary colors then it should be able to display it well, until it is based on RGB primaries. Color depth has little to no sense for CRTs, it is a digital thing: the color depth definies the total amount of levels between absolute black and full intensity for each colours. CRTs are analogue devices so in theory they can reproduce infinite levels between full off and full on, but in practice the noise in the video chain limits the minimal color resolution, unfortuntely none of the CRT manufacturers supplied information of the video noise level in their machine.
