Because the sale ends this weekend. I don't want to buy both just to return the Outlaw or keep the Outlaw and have to sell the Onkyo.
The VP is interesting and one of the reasons I am interested in it

I bought the 975 and the sound is simply fantastic. Detailed and warm and just all around high-end sound goodness. You can read my review over on AVS if you are interested. I replaced my lossy Lexicon with it and have not looked back. Although Logic 7 is still a really nice way to make 7.1 out of 5.1 The power supply section is also more advanced than any Lexicon I have owned as well. There is a toroidal transformer, bridge rectifier, etc... dedicated to just the DACs with a switch mode power supply for the CPU, front panel illumination, etc... definitely worth a listen.

Nice to now it really is as good as the reviews so far say it is. I'll look for yours on AVS.

Yep, that link is correct. I am interested to hear if anyone else tries one out and what they think of the sound quality. I purchased it for the lossless Blu-Ray codecs but most of the time it is used for 2-channel music.
