Here Spanky Ham posted a screenshot of 1600*1200 with his BR909, I think that would be the only machine which could resolve 2048*1536 the most. |
Those 909s are gone, so no more testing for me. I only have a G90 now.
On CRT monitors and pjs, it is my understanding that there weren't a lot of high bandwidth chips that could be used in pjs.
On 1080i/96, you guys might want to try the oval method to reduce scan line visibility. Mark_A_W and Person99 swore by it.

I recall that score. Did you keep the G90 Because it was somehow better than the 909?

This is probably for another thread and since it will probably be flame ridden I will put it there.

when trying 48Hz...give it a good try, not just a few minutes, and if you're using an htpc..then don't let the desktop fool you.
But...if you run a high contrast value, you will see more flicker....but, still not objectionable after a few minutes.
I run low contrast setting, so I think this is a factor as to why I can run 48Hz and it still looks good to me.
But...before you judge, watch for a long enough interval to be sure. I find 48Hz yields a nicer picture...seemingly sharper.

Or try the oval method with blue elliptical only, keeping red and green round. I always found that I like this best.
