I'm too far away, but it would be a fun project to blend. Nash you should check it out- you would love the image control the NEC gives you.

Same money I just sold my beloved (nearly) minty G70 for this summer.

Crying or Very sad

Had it posted on Videogon for a couple of months for I think $500 or so, and I think I got one inquiry from a guy in Cali that didn't realize that shipping would be at least $250 or $300.

I alternate between really loving the new JVC (the size, the lack of noise, the sharpness), and really missing the big beast. I don't miss it enough to get another one, but I do miss it.

Now, if somebody had a G90 laying around... Laughing

the only issue with an NEC blend would be the noise level. i have the blend units from TV-one (analog), an extra 25' of RGBHV cable and an extra Fury, but in the end decided to go a different route.

There is some wear, but no burn.
Throws a great picture, those screenshots are from a very rough setup.

For the longest time I thought Heywood and I were the only crt'rs in Marshfield. A couple of months ago I took a 9" LC to the dump and today another 9 incher is on the way. That leaves me with 3 crt projectors and one Barco Industrial digital that I use for my outside screen. If my indestructable AmPro 4600HD, modded with Athans high resolution tubes ever bites the big one, that too will be dropped off at the dump. At that time I'll be done with front projection. Then the family room will return to just that, a family room. I will hang the biggest LED flat screen I can find within reason and harvest the mushrooms growing in the cave.

A while back I was looking for a XG to try and modify with 9" tubes but the price of the day and shipping put the boots to that idea. As it stands now, I have absolutely no desire to get involved with any future crt experiments.

Well the price was right and they work well at normal contrast levels but if you try to bump up the contrast they loose electronic focus. I have been running the $hit out of them for about two years now and they show no sign of wear.
For me to use them in a AmPro required a huge amount of re-work on the neck boards.
