Hi Guy's,
turned my 9500 ON tonight, and have an issue with geometry.

The top of the test pattern and image, is tilted inwards at the top. see pic.

HDM or Vertical Board?????

Cheers

The bottom of the pattern is straight, just does not look like it in the pic.

Why would you not consider convergence board? Or DPB??

True, also possible for both.

Just trying to work out where to start,
not in the mood today to start swapping boards, that will happen tomorrow.

Cheers

Helo

Copy that to a spare memory and reset the spare memory, see if it straightens out. It is all three colors, so maybe the HDM is not processing the H Key properly? HDM or control or DPB.

Thanks Tim,
just tried your suggestion, copied to new memory, same problem, also other memory blocks also the same problem.
Yes, it is all three colors. just at the top only.

Next ad break, will pull the CLM, reseat the DPB.
More to come.

Cheers

the chips have been de-socketed on the DPB, and directly soldered.

Hey Steve

Unplug the green yoke from the convergence board, tell us what that does for the bending.

Down load your settings with marquee loader/Control program. Initialize the set. Now do a quick convergence and see if its there, if not
then re load the old settings and see what happens.

Tim,
I would have to pull the jumper off the convergence board, correct,
from memory, if I pull the connector off does that not damage the board??

You can run the set with no convergence coils connected no problem.

Just pulled the CLM, re-seated the DPB.

No change to the problem.

Next ad break, convergence unplug.

Cheers

Hey Steve

It is either going to be distortion of a waveform driving the convergence, or a waveform driving width modulation.

Control board, DPB, HDM, vertical or ribbon cable for vertical, no particular favorites. What happened on the reset of the spare memory?

Try running H Key thru its' range, does the top track at all?

Running H Key.
the vertical lines, move a little at the top to the right, same direction as the problem,
but the bottom moves the full left and right.

Does that make sense?

Steve those signals are generated on the VDM. So it might not be the HDM.
