Hmm yeah I don't think I can make this one since she just flew over here last night. Think I'm going to have to go on a road tour when I get done with this global sh*t to see all the boys.. It has been way too long. Might start with Gino I'm head to Perth, Queensland and Sydney to see some of my family. What's one more stop??

Yeah, you are just looking for the "Happy Ending" in the Asia area......

I saw your face book posting about making soy ginger jerky?? Huh???

I'll send you some of mine if you want.

Hi overclkr,

I'm a complete newbie to CRT. I picked up a Sony 1251 a little over a year ago and it is still sitting in the basement where I left it when I brought it home. I've been lurkng here for awhile, but only just signed up to post.

Whereabouts in NW Indiana are you? I live a little east of Chesterton. I'll have to check my calendar, but if I'm free I'd love to see a working CRT installation.

Kevin

Hi Kevin,

I live in St. John. Your more than welcome to join us. As of right now, it looks to be Saturday, October 6th Smile

I will add you to the list!

DON'T GO!!!!! You'll end up a CRT junkie like the rest of us. Cliff's just sucking you in. Once you go you will never be the same. You'll be selling your wife's stuff to buy your hit.... your going to the land of OZ.......

Haha, go and enjoy..... but I promise you, you will not be the same afterwards. That Sony will be out of the basement before your car engine cools down after you return home. Laughing

Mac is correct. I attended one of these meets a few years ago; changed my whole life. Mr. Green

You owe it to yourself to be there.

Well, I for one am hurt! Smile Not sure how far you're travelling, but I'm in Chicago for a week, from the 4th roughly to about the 10-12 or so. If anyone wants to grab a bite to eat outside of the weekend at Cliff's, I'm up for it.

So I just got off of the phone with ProjectorPeople.com, and I may be able to secure an Epson 5010 for us to check out for the meet Smile

Hopefully they will come through as I am curious as to how far things have come.

OK, looks like >90% now -- is there any sort of schedule? My work outside Chicago would be done Fri evening and I'd need to be back in Pittsburgh by Sun AM. I am a guy who can drive all night with a little caffeine and Hank Williams Sr. to croon with, if needed...so leaving very late Sat/Early Sun works for me. Recommendations for Fri night lodging? I presume I should PM for address...

Feeling stoked already!

Matt,

If your looking cheap, Crest View Inns Cedar lake is the cheapest around here but I'll link to google maps as you will see when you zoom out, there is tons of hotels out here.

Your more than welcome to come by friday evening, but we will HOPEFULLY be tuning up a FIXED stack. Smile

Lot's to be learned so your more than welcome to stop by.

Here is the link for hotels and I will PM you my address.

http://maps.google.com/maps?rls=com.microsoft:en-us&oe=UTF-8&startIndex=&startPage=1&rlz=1I7VASE_enUS499&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=cedar+lake+hotels&fb=1&gl=us&hq=hotels&hnear=0x8811fb0a056a4d83:0x52cd8268d06e4247,Cedar+Lake,+IN&sa=X&ei=4RhdUM6vKIGpiQLz94HAAw&ved=0CK8BELYD&iwloc=cids:3825067406762751244

The closest hotels outside of Crest View are at Rt 30 and Wicker (Rt41).

Tentative schedule:

Sunday Sept 30- drive to Bozeman, Mt
Monday Oct 1- drive to Bismarck ND
Tuesday Oct 2- Drive to Minneapolis, mn
Weds Oct 3- drive to Chicago.

I don't need to be at Cliff's place until Friday, so if there's any forum member that wants to get together somewhere between Seattle and Chicago, let me know. I'm picking up some parts in Minneapolis, so I'll have a day or so there. If no one responds, I'll spend a day in Yellowstone. Or.. recommend some sights to see on the way to Chicago. I haven't driven east of Montana, so that's all unexplored territory for me..

Mac is right, come on over to PA! At that point, what's another 6 hours of driving east? You can stay and eat at my place for free, albeit a humble little shack as an east coast operations base. Wink

Curt, you need to get T-shirts made in the 80s rock tour style with dates/locations on the back.
