Ummm, yes, I'm in Langley!
Read this first, page 17 has all the info you need on the connection cables:
http://curtpalme.com/CRTPrimer.shtm
I'll post more later. These machines are professional machines, thus the twist lock BNC connectors. In the pro world, RCA connectors are considered consumer garbage. (which really, they are!)

No, the Cine 7 is one of the few that will take an analog component input via the R G and B inputs. Select '5' in the input menu or on the remote to enable it. I've got about a dozen 708/Cine 7s here. THe manual is available on the site if you don't have it. It's easy to follow, but you can always call me to come over and I'll spend a few minutes with one going over the functions.
Cheers!

THis set may have come from me originally. Barco had two remote styles and IR codes. THe later ones are pretty hard to find, which is why I always programmed universals. I know some people used to sell preprogrammed remotes on eBay, so it may not have come from me.
Anyway, I only have a couple of later model Barco remotes, and I'm keeping those, sorry! The universal one should work fine, or use the keypad on the projector... if it still works. They gum up, as do the remotes themselves. That's another reason to switch to the universals.
Sorry, didn't see your other post before I answered.
Get three BNC to RCA adapters so you can plug the RCAs right in. The fact that you have errors (I2R errors?) means there's a fault in the unit. Can you post what I2R errors you're getting? if you're getting a bunch on the screen, but you're getting the message displayed on the screen itself, then it's most likely a bad convergence board. Very common problem on these units. If it's one or two error messges, post what they are, and I can look them up. Some function(s) in the set won't work with I2R errors.
Before you spend any money, pull the lenses off the front of the set, and post a pix of the tube faces. They could be in great shape, or could be toast. 1 more post by you, and you can post pix here. No sense in spending money on the set to fix it if the tubes are toast. I want a pix that looks something like the tubes on this chart:
http://curtpalme.com/TubeCondition_RatingChart.shtm
Fire away with any questions, that's what we're here for!
BTW, tubes aren't cheap new ($650 each!), but I did just strip down a 708 that has near perfect tubes in it, which I might sell at a bargain price. ...

Yup, long straightblade screwdriver to undo those long plastic screw thingies that hold the lenses on.
Doesn't ring a bell, probably not my projector then. It is indeed amazing how many CRTs were and are still out there. My best estimation is that I've gone through about 4000-5000 in the last 15 years personally, not to mention the countless board I've repaired of sets I've never seen. I'm sure there's 100 or so just in the lower mainland that I don't know about that are still running.

You're in good shape if everything is pure white. But you'd be surprised how non white it actually is if your tubes are worn.
If you can find one of the rare laserdisc players that puts out a component signal (Pioneer?), then get a line doubler or scaler (I might still have something kicking around for cheap) to upscale the 480i of the laserdisc. I think a rare one or two did 480p. Analogrocks here might know, or Tinman might know as well. They are both big analog freaks.

Frankly I've never used the IRIS on any Barco I've had here. Ignore that, I don't think it's throwing the errors anyway. You need a perfectly dark room for it to work (same with the E'home projectors), any stray light will throw them off.
