I have just installed Lumagen HDQ in my system. My problem is that I am getting different results than from my previous processor that was a Crystaimage 4.0. I have two DVD players one is a Sony 300+ carousel that has RGB out with 480 p or i switchable. The other is Panasonic VHS to DVD copier with RGB and HDMI out. So far I am running it RGB.
Previously with the Crystalimage I ran the Sony 480i and the Panasonic (don't think it is switchable-it does say it upscales the output, but maybe that's only on HDMI) in and then ran the unit 720p out. I got the same results out of both units. Now with the Lumagen the Sony has a soft picture no matter what I do and the picture jumps every do often. The Panasonic on the other has a killer picture that is easily twice as good as before with no other problems. Any suggestions?

Is the Sony on a short (< 6 foot) HDMI cable? Lumagen recommends 6 foot or better cables for best HDMI signal transmission and recovery.

Make sure the memory input for the Sony is set to 480i and its set to output 720p. you might have the wrong output.

What is your PJ?
