So I checked my tubes the other day and I am starting to see wear develop.

Looks like it's just about time to truly have the LAST CRT MEET at my place.

Hmmmmm.... I smell BBQ.

You're kidding me right cliffy ? How many hours could you possibly have on those tubes ? If you ever change tubes please keep me in mind for at least 1 green one. Anyway it sounds like a good enough reason for BBQ. Very Happy

Eventually yes. This was my last retube. I'm going digital after these tubes go.........

Well if you are going to churn and burn which digital PJ are you going to replace the stack with? This sounds like when a company I worked for said we are going to do away with a certain d-base but didn't have a replacement capable of outperforming the existing platform;-)

Honestly, well, when these tubes reach about 6k hours (3 years), I'll probably upgrade to 4K.

Exciting things happening in the digital realm right now.

I have an LED projector on the way soon that I'm looking foward to playing with as well. I'm gonna see if I can mod it and add some LED's to it to bump up the lumens.

That's what is so cool about this projector is I get to play around with it! Re-engineer! Yeah baby! Smile

I'll be curious with the latest and greatest LED's retrofitted on it what kind of lumens I can expect.

With a stack youve got the gains up that high?? Why??

The wear cant yet be seen on any of the 3 tubes in my 9PG and ive put over 3,000 hours on it just myself, not counting previous owner!! It was up til recently on a 125 inch screen.

He wants that Ultra vivid image that you see at the store on those TV's, when you go by them and say :O they look so bright and colorful Very Happy

Cliff, I can't blame ya, FRY THOSE BABIES Mr. Green Truthfully I enjoy CRT way more when I max out the settings. I usually only do that though during a viewing when theres company over, just to make the NEC XG look its best Very Happy
