Same setup, only difference is with and without Lumagen Rasiance XS+

pass resolution framerate and color space, no CMS active, latest firmware, and just reset.

Have tested 3 different firmware, back to before 125 point CMS, same result, so wonder of this is a hardware limitation, and its the same no matter what colorspace i try to pass.

Can anyone confirm or post a perfect croma multiburst pasing a radiance xs.

Yes, i change it to mach the input color space every time i change the output from the player or Radiance. And i tested it with all 3 color spaces.

You have the Radiance XS and the same moome card, how do your croma burst look like.?

Well I also have the TV one in the chain and that has to stay the way my set up is. I do not have a resolution set up for 1080p on just one PJ , but if I remember correctly I was able to see that on the blend set up clearly, that is no roll off but I only tried one output from the XS and only one input on the moome. I might be wrong, I have not used that disk in a long time, over a year or two. I might actually have an old pic. I am at work let me see if I have it.

I cant think of any way the radiance will not behave the same, if there is no scaling, no matter how you end up displaying it.

But ill sure like to see other screenshots of other setup displaying the Croma Multiburst.

Ok Found it.

now this is on the blend from 2010. I'll have to re check it again some time. But I think it looks the same now. But better IIRC. I had Blue really defocused, and its on the 2.4 aspect screen so top and bottom are cropped.

Interesting, its the same as what i see running direct from the player, only with the slight role off on the high frequence horisontal pattern.

So if thats the cas it might be worth to test the Radiance firmware back to 2010, Thumbs Up

It was taken January 10th 2010 so I might have an even older firmware , maybe 2009.

I was not able to run the 092510 guess it wont work with the 3D hardware, no picture output at all.

So im on 102910 now, and its the same problem as before, maybe this is related to the 3D upgrade back in 2010.

Will be interesting to see if a non 3D XS will work right with the latest firmware.

Nash, i guess your XS is a non 3D edition..??

3D upgrade for older Radiance XD/XS/XE units

User enterable software key to enable HDMI 1.4 3D processing of video sources with firmware version 102810 or newer. Already included with new units.

Looks like there is no hardware changes from non 3D to 3D XS units, so it must be possible to revers it.

Thanks to Arcadehappiness, for giving me his old Marquee 8500AC Ultra.

Its missing the LVPS and HDM, but the rest is there, i tested the FGM, its working perfect.

As seen in the picture its still in the back of my car, the plan is to put a HDM and a LVPS and see how its running for some hours.

And if everything ok ill take it apart, clean it and make it ready to build a 2nd 9500LC Ultra.

Spank you. Wink

Its up running now.

I had to take off the HV splitter and clean it and the HV cables to, id did a funny noise around the splitter, its gone now.

The tubes looks perfect, the green should be new/ 50 hours, i have 2 of these 8500AC ultra now, im thinking to keep 1 and see how far i kan tweak it, for about no money. It will be a 8500AC non ultra for that.

I did the 16:9 tube masking on the other, and know how much that improved contrast, so im thinking about color corrected glycol, and some sharper lenses.

When thats all done ill put it in a room with my G90 and close the door Rolling Eyes

Just converted my new 8500Ac to a 9500LC test machine for testing the 3 sets of new tubes im getting from Curt,
and last night i picked up my original 800 hour blue tube from my 9553 who shorted, long time ago.

I wanted to see if i would be able to kick it back to life, so turnig it on and i got a image, but still lot of noise when displaying black and the spot kill would still kick in when turning it off.

Yesterday i put up a full screen blue from the Radiance, cranked brightness contrast and G2 all up and just let it run like that for a few hours, nothing changed.

Today i turned the test machine on again, was going to use it for some testing of my Hdfury 4 analog out, who seems to have some heat related issues.

I think it had been on for around 30min when i was sitting in front of it looking on the tube face when it suddently turned of.. WTF, it lit up the H Fail lamp, turned it off and on again, ok no problem.

Now i left it running a movie for about a hour, and went to play with it, and was adjusting brightness and G2 on all tubes, surprise, the noise is gone on my blue tube, and it no longer kicks in the spot kill when turning off.

So now i have 3 complete new set of VDC tubes 2 set of mint tubes who have been used. and a new Red and Green LUG tube.

I get the feeling that ill be able to look a few movies before i need to worry about tubes.

Hope it stays this way. Thumbs Up

Just put in my first red C element today, there was no glue on the old element, but it was leaking around the new C element, so i had to cut a ring of plastic to put betwen the C element and metal ring who hold it in place.

Now it looks fine, and im waiting that its getting dark, so i can get a idea what it do to the image.

Hello

The secret on c element swaps is to get the bellows centered perfectly in the opening. This may require loosening the front casting.
