Just take the lenses off and get one guy on each end. Not that big of a deal.

How can you run? Just yell into the doors that anyone that weight lifts are a bunch of pussies, run like hell, have them chase you, distract them with cold brewskis when they reach your place, and after they're all friendly, say 'oh, while you strong boys are here.....'

Not so sure about the town but the neighborhood was beautiful. The guys HT was a thing of beauty as was his home . A nice guy too.
Obviously very well off but not snooty about it. Reasonably close too about 10 hours round trip.

I couldn't find the nice part of town, i was over by the college though.
The airport is on top of a mountain, the approach is freaky looking out the side windows of a plane. Probably looks rather routine from the cockpit.

Congrats, Jeff! You should've asked me to go down to get it with you -- I'd have rode down with you as Pittsburgh is only a little outta' your way. I can't for the next few weekends, but after mid-may (when my semester is over) I would love to zip over to Cleveland to play.
BTW, I was really curious to see where it ended up after the ebay auction ended and it wasn't relisted. I was the one who advised him on the YA board/IC421. He (JC) offered it to me last weekend and I stressed over it for two days before I passed on it. If I had the money for it and a new green tube, I'd have done it. Instead, I am driving to NJ to get another 4500+ and think I've lined-up new tubes to get me through the next couple of years! Oh well -- maybe I can come up and enjoy a beer and a movie with you! Of course, this might ruin the happiness I feel toward my ECP!!!
And I agree -- shame, shame two times! for posting this to off-topic...my goodness, man!
cheers,
Matt

Yeah I am so used to posting in off topic I just did it out of habit That and I was a little excited. I saw a marque 9500 LC posted for 2500.00 in pittsburgh a few days ago. Come on over for a beer and movie anytime ! You will have to watch my G70 for awhile yet as it will take me a while to get it all together and hang the G90 I wanna put a new green tube in before I hang it if I can swing it.
The G70 looks nice though Craig really made it shine.
I aint in cleveland though, I am about an hour north of dayton. I would love my wife to see that there REALLY ARE other people who like this stuff and this whole forum isnt a made up scam run by some guy pretending to be 30 guys on the internet.

Matt, What did you mean when you said you advised him on the YA board ?
I am still not sure whats up with that.
I noticed the blue has no tint and wondered why that is.

He probably just told him the problem with the YA boards and which ones are potentially bad.

No worries, I'll bring a nice bottle of chianti...

Seriously, there is another guy!?...I thought this was ALL part of my fantasy world...
Kidding aside, I have relatives in both Lima and Troy, OH. Maybe around Memorial Day when I'm in northern Cincinnati I can arrange a detour for a day up there. I'll PM you in the weeks to come - we'll work something out.
Regarding blue, I bought tinted lenses from Curt for my ECP. When they arrived, I was all, "What-the-hell, he shorted me a blue!?" And then I remembered the what motivated me to try them from (from Gary's great thread):
| Quote: | | As you can see, blue was already pretty close to the correct color, just a bit more "vivid" than it needs to be. That (and blue's limited light output) is why color-filtered lenses use a clear lens for blue -- it's already good enough. |
I presume it is the same with the G90. Is the G70 different? I'm guessing maybe you've never needed to pull the lens OR your mind was preoccupied and you didn't notice.
cheers,
Matt (who is wondering if Jeff still thinks this isn't all being done by one guy...)

Curt and Craig do it.
On the blue tube, I thought that was pretty well known. I just glanced at Gary's thread. It was a good start, but I would like to see some more measurements of those tubes along with other tubes. It would also be nice to see some better meters used. One thing about Gary's measurements that I didn't see was the screen used. That has to be taken into account. Craig also did some measurements.
