Must be typo error. But in time to come when supply is low, CRT parts especially 9 incher will definitely go up in price.

You know, and I am probably in the minority in this, but I am totally unconvinced that CRT projectors will turn into collectors items (they way tube audio has). I think the major issue with projectors is their complexity. When these things are 20-30+ years old and the 1000s of caps need to replaced the cost and/or labor (if doing it yourself) is going to be so great I think very few people will have any interest in doing so. Also video, so far, has not really produced the same hardcore interest in older technologies that audio has. I might be wrong but I suspect our projectors will go the way of "classic" TV versus "classic" audio equipment in so far as there will be limited appeal to collectors. That said the recent Asian interest in CRT projectors may just prove me wrong.

I belive a small start-up company will produce a new generation of CRT PJ's some day - just a question of time -it's a niche market.

Well I got two 9" Runco 1100s (Barco 1209s clones) for $200 total two or three years ago now. No spite involved though I did have to take one off of the ceiling. And then there were the three $350 909s in LA recently (I don't know who got those but wrong coast to me). So relatively cheap 9" sets are out there if you are lucky enough to be near them when they show up.

This will probably never happen as the production of new parts is done. VDC was the last manufacturer.
