I have come to the conclusion that my rack is too small and it needs to be replaced. Its just a home brew one made out of solid oak, and 18" ceramic tile.. yes tile Smile

Anyway I have components that are sitting on the bench waiting to get installed and as said above I need more room. My problem is I need a 5 foot tall rack, from ceiling to floor I have just about 6 feet in height.

I need 2 of these 5 foot racks, and I would prefer something more professional than a homeade rack.

Any ideas appreciated Smile

Middle Atlantic or Raxxess are good rack companies. The Dr. that implanted the above... not so much.

This is the one I use but it was $499 delivered with custom shelf spacing. Not exactly a rack but nice none the less...

I agree that these are the best with any option you could ever wish for. If 5' is not a standard size. just get one that is higher and cut it to the custom height you want. Easy to do.

I ebay'ed my MA slim5 racks. And most of the shelves.

I've always thought that Stormtrooper1015's DIY face plates combined with a MA rack and shelves
could be the ultimate affordable built in av rack. Post 62 on page 2:

Then again if you want to go all DIY, some wood framing and 4 vertically run Unistrut, used with L brackets to support plywood shelves, could build a strong in wall rack that is adjustable. Plus Stormtropper1015's DIY finish panels. The finished front could be drywall sheeted over the framing, with J channel.

Omnimount RE27 is a great value, comes with casters, fan, (3) 2u shelves, (3) 2u blanks, fan, smoked plexiglass door. It's about 4' 6" with casters.
