You can order one from Chief VCM-22S. I called and they still have them in stock. The dealer cost is around $250 shipped. I would place an order for you but my account with Chief was purged a couple of years ago because I have not ordered in a while. You would have to go through a active dealer online.

That is $100 less than the last order I placed with Chief in 2004. Maybe they have old stock and need to get them out.

Holy sh*t, they have one for marquee's too looks like you need the VCM kit if you don't have a lift and the HB kit if you already have the motorized lift?

| Quote: | | Q: How much weight does the mount hold?:A: Each mount is custom designed to support the weight of the projector models specified. However, your ceiling must hold at least 5x the total weight of your installation. | really, 5 times So considering the lift + bracket is probably 100 pounds minimum, and a typicaal CRt is 150, your ceiling needs to support over half a ton. With a G90 closer to 3/4 ton
| Quote: | Q: Do I need to order the HB bracket separately?:
A: No, the assembly ships complete when you order a VCM ceiling mount. The HB bracket as a separate part number is used only for Chief lifts. One VCM part number includes both the universal top and HB bracket.
Q: How much assembly is required?:
A: None. Just attach the HB bracket to your projector.
Q: How much height will it add to my installation?:
A: The VCM top is only 4" high plus various HB bracket heights.
|
| Quote: | Q: Do I need any additional accessories to install the VCM?:
A: Yes. The VCM can be flush mounted to the ceiling with the LPK1 Low-Profile Mounting Kit. However, often times you will need to lower your projector from the ceiling a specific distance and you will want to order the appropriate accessories. Choose the right solution for your installation. | Ummm, LPK-1 is called unistrut in CRT land

Right, the VCM is the mount bracket that goes to the ceiling or support structure. Downple, ceiling.. The 22S is the model bracket interface between the VCM bracket and the specific projector. So the VCM remains constant and the other numbers will change depending on the projector application. The Chief mounts are fully adjustable for tilt, skew and the hole through the midde makes a good place for a lift cable. I used a manual boat trailer winch lag bolted to the floor joist above the projector. The winch is concelaed between the joists and the suspended accustic ceiling. Works like a charm.

that's not bad then, if your handy you could simply get the HB kit for the marquee and Fab. the rest yourself. McMaster Carr also sells every kind of winch imaginable for not much money.
You really don't need a winch for a CRT though unless it's a G90. My friend and I hung a 9PGX the other night, just the 2 of us lifting and his wife watching to help guide the engagement pins.

I used a hand crank boat winch I purchased from from West Marine for about about $40 . One man operation to hoist my G70 up with a 10 to 1 mechanical advatage. The winch will stop and the ratchet will lock when you let go of the handle. You can also reverse in mid flight.

I installed an electric winch in the ceiling space. Made raising the g90 soooo easy. Took a little effort to get the upper and lower halves of the PSS-90 to marry.
