Well the .5 may blow even without a problem and the 2 is a big jump and can cause more damage if there is a problem.
So if you want to try the .5 just to see if it holds so we can continue but if it blows we still wont know if there is a problem or not.

Ok, back to front panel, CX101, DMM on DC and test for +5v with pins 8 for gnd and 7 for pos.. Dont let your leeds touch as this could be where the fuse blew.

Ok, good. We are done on that front board. So we now know if we find the problem the standby led should come on.
Give me a sec to look at the schematics again. I lost my thoughts with that ICP blowing.

It is in the opposite position of the other 2 switches next to it, switched to the end with one pin and not the end with 2 pins (pins on each side of the switch)

Yes, it's on. Switch it off and plug in and main switch on and see if standby comes on. If no standby then unplug, leave that switch where it is and move S405 to the opposite, plug in and main switch on and check standby. If no standby then unplug and move switches back to where they were.

Ok, good. Still have the +6v? You'll have to test every now and then so we know if we lost it or not.

Ok, were going to have to verify we have good power and gnd connections to the CPU. This will be unplugged. If it's easier to work around the CPU with the board removed you can remove it.
Locate the standup connector we used before, CN411. DMM on diode test, neg leed connected to pin 2 on that connector. Make it a good connect that you dnt have to hold. Also when you test on the CPU pins test high on the pin again, where it enters the chip.
So with neg leed on pin 2 of CN411 test the following pins on the CPU for dead short. 23,24,39,59,74,91,132,143.

With neg on pin 2 of CN411 all pins you specified, in that order tested as short, all 000

Very good. Now move that neg leed to pin 5 and test the following pins on the CPU: 15,21,41,57,76,93,130,140.
