Done all that, the readings on pins 3 and 4 are 2.25vdc

CPU board, that sounds like fun! Razz

I just remembered you said that someone was messing with the front panel. Can you disconnect that front panel, except for the master power switch.

Before you do that see if you can locate 2 switches by the CPU. Should be S404 and S405

They are basically on off, 2 selections, yes slide switches Smile

Take note of their position then switch them both to their opposite and test your DC at pins 3 and 4 again. Just want to make sure no one was messing with those switches before.

Same as before, 2.25 vdc doesnt matter where they are switched

Ok, good. Put them back to original.

Now go back to D401 and note its direction and remove it. Then go test your DC again.

The DC reads 2.4 on pins 3 and 4 with the diode removed, the diode is good as well

Ok, that was a Y in the road and now we know which way to go. Locate D402. Should be in the same vicinity. Test if you like but remove it and check your DC again.
