Ok, I see what they are doing. I guess your going to have to give me a board number also as you go through this.
So where are you at? Check any fuses? Is it completely dead. Red standby led lit?

Or maybe you don't need any help and just want to poke around?

Lol Sorry Mac! I do want help, poking around wont get me anywhere will it
The receiver is completely dead, when plugged in and the power button turned on, there are zero relay clicks, no LEDs etc...
I have checked every fuse I could find and all check out good unfortunately. But I knew that for the price I paid, it couldn't be easy...
The board numbers for the board itself are:
2223638105
1U-3638-1
And they are in that particular format on the board too

That's a power regulator board and those parts are voltage regulators. Probably wont cause a dead unit. But we'll see.
So when did you want to start. Do you have all you stuff gathered up?
DMM
soldering iron
some small gauge wire to solder in at locations and connect to your DMM.
If you dont have some test leeds for your DMM with a clip on the ends then you would need some test wires with clips on both ends.

Alrighty then. Let me first say that I'm looking at schematics and I dont really know what you are actually looking at. SO if I have you try to test something and it's not easily accessible just let me know and we'll see if there is a work around. Also when I need you to test with it plugged in, you will have to decide the best way to connect to test, whether it's accessible with just the test leeds or if you need to connect with clips or if you have to solder wires on because you can't power it up while disassembled.
Ok, locate board number 1U-3639-4. It should be connected to the A/C input board. Now there are 2 wires connected to this from the main power switch on the front. Set your DMM to continuity with beep if you prefer. Test to see if you have continuity when the power switch is latched and no continuity when unlatched.
Also test the 12a fuse on that board, should be F001.
Let me know what you get.

Fuse F001 checks out just fine, and yes there is continuity when the switch is latched

Ok, leave the switch latched.
Locate connector CW022 on 3639-5 A/C input board. Set your DMM to A/C and connect to the 2 pins at that connector and plug in the receiver and tell me what you get.

Good. Now here's where the schematics is not real clear. That connector should go to a transformer or another board first. I need you to tell me what that connector connects to first.

The connector CW022 connects to board 1U-3638-8, its like a hub of sorts I guess, just 8 plug connections and one connection thats screwed in

So it connects to CX022 on the 3638-8 board?

Ok.
Can you test A/c voltage at connectors CX922, then CX923, then CX924, one at a time?

CX922 and CX923 get no voltage at all, CX924 does have 124.5v on it however

ok, we are still good. Just had to look over the prints real good.
So CX924 should go to a little transformer then there should be wires going from that to a board. Get me the board number the transformer connects to.

Ok sorry mac, I accidently followed the wrong wire, so I deleted my last post as not to confuse us. So many wires in a tight space!
The transformer connects to board 1U-3638-6

Well... heres an interesting update, the board, once I removed it, is cracked in half... COULD THAT BE WHY IT WONT WORK???
Wow this guy did a number on this receiver
