Oh mate yeah you simply MUST use a CRT for retro gaming... Especially if you need the gun Wink

Can't wait to hook my original nintendo up to the XG, Just bought one a month ago off ebay, came with literally every accessory, short of Rob the Robot, but hey, can't get everything for nothing!!

I wonder if the light gun will work with the PJ if I use the video processor to upscale the NES?

Nice shot case, you have that CRT looking pretty good! Is that the sony or the 9PG? Very Happy

Cheers mate yeah, that is the NEC.

The NES gun works differently to all other game guns, so it might work, the only way ive played my NES on the NEC or the Sony is with the compost video. The gun works perfectly fine with both. The Playstation guns will certainly not work properly if you use the scaler, and neither will any others. Almost all of them require the 240p res to work, although some work with 480i and 576i as well. Youll need a bright blue, cause that is all the gun looks for and reacts to. Cover that blue tube and it wont work.

Here are some other shots from the same half buggered camera, these are some 1080i blu ray rip shots...

Now this one here is from outside, and the good thing about having that huge door is i can sit outside under the stars and watch movies...

And this is just to show the screen size when doing some retro gaming...

Case, very nice setup Thumbs Up thanks for the advice on the light guns, at least if I cannot get it to work, I will know why Very Happy

That is most certainly NOT Mortal Kombat.... You can pretty clearly see the name of the game in the bottom middle of the screen!!

Cheers on the compliments of my set up mate yeah, id does me quite well. I dont watch alot of movies, its more of an ocational thing. You will see there in the top two pics that my convergence is everything youd expect from an NEC....

Damn, I mistook the VS on the top of the screen for the mortal kombat VS, very similar, but still cool anyway! Very Happy

Yes the NECs are nice, proud owner of 2.99 of them Very Happy

Cliff, What size is your screen?? I probably have similar brightness to your setup, but my screen is probably less than half the size of yours, I hate being limited by the space I have, 82" is not big enough!!

DVH, and cliff, those pics are amazing, although DVH if I look at your last pic it looks like the image being projected is crooked from the bottom of the screen???

Still nice shots! Thumbs Up

could be that geometry isn`t perfect but since i will replace the blue tube any time soon i don`t want to spend too much time getting things perfect.

i have a yellowish tint to the picture because of the heavy wear on blue (it`s probably a 5 or less on curts scale).

it`s the silly optics on those cheap digitals, they cannot cope with low light pictures.

just think of it as if the green push is non existent.

i`d rather spend money on a blue tube then on a camera, als je begrijpt wat ik bedoel.

Case those are some nice non HD screens man! Those scanlines! ahhh that takes me back to the good old days of gaming, really awesome Thumbs Up

I get my video processor this wednsday, so I can hopefully get my raster issue fixed with that and then pop some HD screenshots, I dont have any non HD sources hooked up to the projector currently, but Im sure once the VP arrives I will have the nintendo sitting next to the XG Very Happy

Dennis, I know the quality of cheapo digitals, my camera doesn't do any better in a low light situation, probably why I dont pop many screenshots, since it makes the image on screen look deplorable compared to what it actually is!
