I'll pick up a meter, probably good to have. If there is not continuity is that likely due to the resistor failing and needing to be replaced or simply a matter of re-soldering the connections? I'm assuming you have had this problem with a Moome card before. I don't want to do anything to void the waranty but Moome seems to be slow to respond and I need big black up and running by Christmas.

oops, sorry I missed this thread. Sounds like the card if the RGBHV port is working normally. Incidentally had a customer in FL with the similar issue, video problem but internal parts are fine. He jumped on the Moome card to soon and sent it back but it wasn't the problem. All indications at this point is a faulty Lumagen scaler that went bad.
In most cases it's turning out to not be the projector, so that's at least good news.

Believe me it was a big sigh of relief when the RGBHV port worked:-)

I have owned tons of lumagen gear and follow the forums there and have never seen a bad one. Also I dont think he has one in his set up, does he?
Try a standard def dvd player with hdmi out. if that doesn't work then it could be the moome or the switching between input 1 and input 2
in the PJ.
You could send the moome card to someone close by to test and then you'll know what to do in the meantime. If you had to send it to moome it wont get back by Christmas.

No Lumagen, just BD player straight into Moome. When I first installed the Moome back in July I tried Input 1 and it didn't work therefore I swiched to input 2 and have used that ever since. When I added the HD cable box 2 weeks ago I simply disconnected the HDMI connector from the BD player's output and connected to the Cable Box's output. The BD player outputs 1080p and the HD cable box 1080i.
What good would a standard def DVD player be; are you thinking that the Moome input will work with SD but not HD? That would be strange..

Nash-
Your Moome card works fine in my machine, both HDMI and Component Video Inputs. I tested both HD cable box and BD player in HDMI input and a DVD player with the Component Input.
I'll have to run the audio out of the cable box to my pre-amp since their is no optical output on the first generation Moome.
WTF? How has further testing worked with my Moome card in your machine?
This $#!@ doesn't make any sense....

Or, I had a VIM here once that would synch up fine at lower resolutions then show "No Synch" at higher rez. In that case replacing the primary 5 and 15 volt DC rail by-pass caps fixed the card. I've seen the exact same problem and resolution on a few CLM's too so I think those old Yellow tant's in some high-hour machines are beyond their expiration date.

Dragan is sending me a VIM to test. I guess you might as well send back my Moome to me and I'll test both with the new VIM and my current VIM to see if anything else peculiar happens. Bizarre to say the least...

Athanasios | just heard back from Tony, it was his Lumagen
