If you watch a lot of 1.78:1 or wider movies on your CRT, do you do anything to reduce the un-even burn on the tubes? Do you run full screen material in between movies or...?

I have heard its best to warm up your PJ with a full field 4:3 white field for 10-15 minutes before watching a 16x9.

Alan Gouger used to do this .

New tubes will reduce burn every time! Wearing the middle And the edges brings no benefit with 4/3. Enjoy your system and budget for tubes every 12000 hours.
