USPS tracking sucks...
How often do they update, once a week??? I ordered something from the west coast with 1-3 day shipping to Boston on Sunday. I really wanted it here for today but I'd settle for it here on Friday. According to a tracking search it's still in the origin sort facility in California Rolling Eyes This happens all the time to me. I have a PO box and I don't go every day but if I'm expecting something with a tracking number, I'll check on line to see if it's there. If so, I go. Sometimes I'll go just to drop some checks in the mail and stuff will be there that tracking says is still three states away. Rant off...

USPS tracking a joke. The tracking information is never updated so what is the purpose of it? Probably a symptom of why they are going broke.

I love the postal service. I've sold a few 3D Blu-rays on Ebay after I watch them. Not the fastest service but it very reasonably. I can ship a Blu-ray to anywhere in the US for $2.51 for UPS it would be over $6 which would make it cost prohibitive. From CA to MA unless it went 1st class it might not make it to you by Saturday or even Monday because of the holiday. If you pay the premium, (which is very expensive) for UPS or Fedex they would not have made it ether. UPS from CA to Indiana is 5 days via gound....UPS isn't even delivering this Friday so USPS was your best chance. USPS tracking does suck...but all that cost money.

Mike

Yes USPS tracking does suck. Unless you are dealing with stuff under two pounds, heavy but fits in a special flat rate box or media that gets special rates, FedEx ground is usually cheaper, better tracking, excellent customer service (you can actually call an 800 number and get help and more info on your package) and insurance is included up to $100. If you look around you can usually get some discount. I get a 10% or so discount through my insurance company of all places.

Update...
At 5:00 AM this Sat. I checked tracking and still there was no indication that it ever left California. So I went out to do some yard work. I decided at lunch time I'd go to the PO and see if they had any idea where it might be. So I went back to the tracking page and punched in the numbers. BINGO, found it. It's now somewhere in RI. Rolling Eyes

That's the quickest 1 to 3 day shipping I've ever seen. 1 to 3 days from when??? Confused
