|
|
I think my moome is broke. I turned on the pj and I got a flickering image and then some of the text from the movie but no real picture. I checked the switch and cable and unplugged it and plugged it back in,it started to work again, then halfway through the movie it just went blank.
I made all the normal checks again and then hooked up my fury 3 and changed the input and presto ! picture.
I tried the moome again today and still nothing. I took the card out and checked to make sure it was seating properly, changed the input back and still nothing.
Put it back on the fury and it is working, although I dont have the PQ I did before.
I want my moome !
It is the latest one V2. Any help would be appreciated.
P.S. I know this is the incorrect forum for this but I thought I would get more traffic here.
Thanks in advance, Jeff

Just email him. You most likely need to send it back for testing/repair.

Sounds like you have covered most of the options and isolated the problem to the Moome. You may want to try these variables before shipping the card back to taiwan.
1) If you're using Input A try the Input B slot on the G70.
2) If you have some component cables feed an RGBHV signal and see if the problem persists.
3) I assume you tried the second HDMI input.

Last night the first thing I tried was changing it to Link 0 , No picture.
I just tried it again and guess what, PICTURE !
I guess I still need to send it in but better at the moment.
I was worried that if my card was changed I would lose the perfect picture Craig Rounds dialed in.
Am I thinking right ?

you could look for obvious cracked solder joints before sending it back.

I sent an email to moome I just have to wait awhile I guess, I can get by with the fury, Its still a damn good picture, its just better with the moome thats all. I am worried when I get it back the picture quality wont be the same,I am not sure what (if any ) adjustments Craig made to the moome.

IMO he didn't do anything except turn off the internal gamma adjustment on the IFB. I don't think replacing the Moome will upset Craig's calibration. Apart from gamma there really aren't any other adjustments.

Take a look into the mating area of the hdmi connector on the Moome card, I had a problem with one of my cards where some of the gold contacts in the connector slid back into the connector body and shorted to a metal back plate in the back of the connector.
