I'm not sure if thread exists on this topic so I decided to start one, I just pick up this jewel. Stanley Kramer's comedy It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World on Blu-ray.

BTW what I consider a classic film would be anything made before YOU graduated from High School. So films like Star War would be disqualified for me because I graduated in 1975...but Star Wars would be fine for others. Smile

The film is jam packed with shots where Kramer used all 2:55:1 goodness. I'm amazed at how well focus is held across the screen. The camera optic used must have been top notch for 1963.

Here's a few screen caps from this classic.

That is a fun movie, but not a $22 buy.

good cast. great film.

is the BR the full thing? For a long time the only full version was a particular LaserDisc. all the others were trimmed of a few scenes.

Good question...I also have it on Laser disk I'll have to look at the run time, this shows 159 minutes on the BD so I think it is the full version. I know it does include the Overture at beginning where the screen is blank for some time. It also include intermission, if I remember correctly the laser had both of those....I think the Laser was multiple disks & double sided too...It's been so long I can't be sure.
