Hello

Wiggle the tube neck, the cracks may be hidden under the yokes.

Ronald try swaping HV leads to another tube, that is red to blue and blue to red. Lets see if the issue follows the HV lead.

Morning Guys (at least here) !

I got my Marquee working yesterday again .. sort of Wink

Checked the Red Tube again with a strong led flashlight and noticed a small drop of glycol i missed
when i cleaned the whole machine and refilled the new glycol. I didn´t see any arcing in that region
but after cleaning that the Red Tube starts up normally again.

But here´s the BUT.. as soon as i switch to a other internal resolution the Red tube shuts down and the ticking starts again.
If i start the Marquee again with the default internal resolution it works again normally.

So my question is now, i did the squeeze mod and the convergence Board mod ( Thanx to Nashou´s great Mod Thread for the Marquee) .

I checked all my soldering and everything looks minty.. can it be a result of that somewho?

Just to know, i am soldering everyday so i really know what i am doing in that area Wink

Thanx again

Ronald

The HDM is the first board that comes to my mind when reading this. It's the only board that has relays for switching between a low and high-frequency mode for Horizontal Deflection. If there is a faulty component in the high-frequency circuit it wouldn't necessarily be noticeable when using lower resolutions (=low-frequency mode activated)...

Barclay is correct. Sound like the HDM. You kept saying the ticking was coming from the red tube area but the hDM is between the blue and green , so We didn't think that was it. Are you sure the ticking or clicking isn't the HDM relays?

Also have you cleaned the CLM boards and socketed chips?
