Hey guys, just working on a 1994 Sony 1272. I set it up and power cycled it. It looses it's memory.

Is there a battery on these?

Try to push in again all IC on the board (Y board). If the problem persist, then you can think replace the eeprom. Failure in those are rare.

1272 is getting a bit old. Could be developing a persistant senior moment Laughing

Finding 1272 CPU boards is tough as everyone wants them for the 21 point convergence. I haven't had any in ages, but I do have a zillion CPU boards with the 9 point convergence if you want to try one. THe CPU boards interchange across the 12XX spectrum (I think, at least I haven't had any issues...)

Hey Curt, what boards control the memory just the YA board or others?
