I'm restarting my calibration since I mounted my barco projector today. The Sony 1272 was decommissioned.
When centering raster, do I have to play my bluray to display an image?

off topic, but funny coincidence, since I decommissioned my sony 1271 the other day and mounted my barco 808 last night! Still in the early stages of setting it up myself.
And no I dont think you should have to feed it any signals to center the raster.

I actually had to play a movie just to see it although I brought down contrast to 0 and up the brightness. I found out that my raster was so badly in place. It's in good location now. I also finished converging and I love it. However, I can't get the blue specifically on the leftmost side to converge. And also at 1080p, it doesn't display the whole image on that side. Looks like only 97% is display which is ok. When I changed it to 1080i, I saw my whole 1920x1080 pattern. So looks like Barco is running out of horizontal bandwidth. I thought earlier it was blanking on the left but when I adjusted it, it's not showing. Oh, when I adjusted the H linearity to the right, I did see the left part of the image. However, the rightmost side of the image bent so badly. I decided to go with 3% missing on the image.

Raster centering can be done using installation menu without source connected, but this doesn't affect to memory blocks. So it need to done again when source is connected.
Clipped picture at left side is caused your sources bad timings for analog display. Those are designed for digital displays, so porches are only few pixel wide and crt's need something like 100-200 pixels before actual picture start with 1080i/p. To correct that you need custom timings from pc or scaler. Same time you get rid of left side raster ringing and can use better refresh rate like 72 or 96Hz.

Ok. I am not sure what signal my Pioneer BDP-320 is sending and it's via the HDFury version 1. I remember, when I turned on my bluray player, I saw source 5, 67hz at the lower right corner. We can see the number is not multiple of 24. I am not sure how to change it since it's a bluray player.

Well.....you see..... there's two kinds of raster adjustment. The first may or may not involve putting one hand in the neck area.....or it may be a simple electronic adjustment.
The second raster adjustment definately requires two hands placed firmly on the neck area, squeezing as hard as physically possible
Sorry, the word raster just brings out the postal in me

Quick question folks. I posted my Sony 1272 projector on craigslist and someone emailed with this message. Am I right that this is a SCAM?
---------------start----------------------
Thanks for the prompt response, I am quite satisfied with the
condition .I am also interested and I will like to make an instant
purchase, so kindly end the advert on Craigslist, I do not mind adding
an extra $25 for you to close the advert on craigslist so that I can
be rest assured that I am the prospective buyer, I would have loved to
come take a look but I am a very busy woman I am very sure you
understand. I will also want you to know that I will be paying via
Certified Check, and it will be sent to you via courier service due to
the distance. You don't need to bother about the shipment, as that has
been taken care of...... So I will need you to provide me with the
following information to facilitate the mailing of the check.
1. Full Name on the check
2. Address where payment will be sent to not p.o.box (because my
courier service does not deliver to p.o box)
3. City
4. State
5. Zip Code
6. Phone Number
Once again, I will like to remind you that
you will not be responsible for shipping as I will have my mover come
over as soon as you have cashed the check .
Have A Nice & Rewarding Day Ahead
---------------end----------------------

Actually, that's not always true. I did clue into one scammer a few months ago, and strung him along for a week or so, to the point where he was calling me every hour to see if I'd shipped the unit yet. Let me see if I can find the thread....\
Here, enjoy!
