Can't tell you now. That would spoil it for Mac. You know, the thrill of the chase.

I'll give you a clue tomorrow if no one else sees it.

Ok, I am not an AmPro guy but looking closely at the first picture I see a broken diode, I don't think it is a factory tweak... correct me if I'm wrong

Its hard to tell from the flash on that image if it actually broken. If you look at the solder joints and the direction of the leeds it would indicate it was installed like that.

Regardless, that is a zener diode from the battery to the controller chip. If it is broken then the CPU would loose its memory when unplugged.

Ok, the backup rgb card is a older card 69448. Pictures are gone? Sorry maybe they are too large.

The card with the SVHS, Video and V Drive has two white stickers the main pcd has a 69409 sticker on it and the daughterboard has a 81121 number, maybe a scaler quad?

The CPU board has a 81437 sticker on it, I have to check the RGB board with the intensity modulator tommorow, thanks all.

You saw that eh.
But why does that CPU board think it's a peanut butter and jelly sandwich??? Laughing

Not a clue..... Very Happy

The 81437 card is a CPU from a 4600E.

where are you guys gettings any of this lol! 4600e 4600i ?! I have read a lot of threads on AMpros and never come accross this. Its really interesting stuff, I am going to null the intensity settings Ron then get back to you. I wish I got the other cards now, the back of the cpu card does not seem to have 4 welded points?(the silver bits at the back of cards where I assume the fiode or whatever is welded) for the diode so I think the diode is broken, maybe Scott would know for sure.
