By the way: Take the schematic of the frame and look up the Deflection Connectors (J23, J24 and J26). Then You can see how by misconnection (shifted by one pin) a fault on the Horizontal Deflection Board is possible too...

Hi,

that won't help. There are three of this one and if one fails the entire signal generation wouldn't work. This would affect all three output stages but not to the point that they would be destroyed...
