I only got a couple of hours at the show so far. I hung with Crabb and Chad. They are manning the iRule booth. I only talked to Itai for a couple of minutes. I will let Crabb chime in on anything new from iRule. The Sony 4k looked ok on regular material, but really good with 4k material. The Epson rLCD(LCOS) was nice and may finally ship, but unfortunately only the top model is coming and that is around $5k. The new JVCs looked real nice. I am not sure if the 55 and 65 are worth $8k and $11k respectively even with the psuedo 4k. Now the 45 has some improvements over last years 40, but the biggest is the MSRP is now $3500. If it streets for under $3k, then I can see a lot of people buying these.Smile I will post more later and hopefully Crabb is taking pics.

I have to be very convincing to Crabb to port that over to android.

I wasn't sure until the last minute I was going to make the show because we had a lot of crap going on at work. I went down to Indy with the Engineering manager and Engineer from work so it was actually an official work trip. Thumbs Up

We did have time to meet up with SC and the guys at it iRule booth and chatted with them for a while about their product and will probably try using it for an RV lighting project we are working on. Adam, according to SC they should have iRule ported to Android by next year.

I took a look at the new Panny and JVC projectors...The JVC looked really nice super bright. The Panny setup left a lot to be desired, so it was really hard to see what the projector could do. But honestly I still like smooth image and TOTAL FTB of my 14 year old CRT. So for now the update itch is behind me. I love the bright image and the sharpness but somehow to me they still look a bit, well how do I say it???....."Digital?".

I was a bit torn because it seemed like there was almost too much to see in one day but staying 2 would probably be hard to justify.

Sorry Spanky I didn't plan better and we could have met up.

Mike

Not a big deal, Mike. I am glad you enjoyed it. You should have came over to the AVS party last night. We closed the place down.Smile

I will add some more later. I didn't really care about the Panny or the EPson LCD. They seemed to do 3D ok, but I am not that big of a fan. Honestly I thought the Panny plasma and Mits Laservue was the best on 3D. I stopped by and talked to Cris Seymour on the way out. I am extremely impressed with his new 4k material. It isn't DIY, but the pricing isn't to bad for a complete screen. I think it was $3k for a 96" screen.

I will try to add more later, but I just got into Ralegih and can't wait to get my teeth worked on. Last night I had dinner with Itai (Irule), Mark Seaton, Keith Yates and some others. It was a fun time and informative.
