I am once again starting over setting up my Sony G70. The one thing I have run into which is a little odd to me is that my raster size covers only about 80% of the ABG line. I would like to increase the raster area to use more of the tube face but then my ABG line will go off the edge of the tube face.
So, how do I get the raster to cover more of the ABG line or can I safely have the ABG line go off the tube face?
Adjust the timings only adjusts the active area relative to the raster but I cannot figure out to change the raster/ABG ratio or if I need to.

ABG is automatic, you have no direct control.
I don't think you have to worry about it. I never did.

It's such a weak glow that it won't implode the tube. BArco actually has theirs right off the tube face with no issues.

Thank you very much Curt. The reason I am pushing the raster a bit closer than the recommended 7-10mm is I really like a constant image area setup so to get reasonably close to 2.35:1 geometry with an 817p input is to fully vertically shrink it and go as wide as possible.
