I had never heard of this movie (before my time), but it just came out on Criterion BD.

Totally blew me away, I absolutely loved it! What an awesome little movie. Reminded me of Jim Jarmusch and Alfonso Cuarón.

Highly recommended! Quirky, enjoyable, and just really cool. It has instantly turned me into a Jonathan Demme fan.

Also: Ray Liotta's first movie (and he is exceptional).

1080p trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_B6fLIdhgo

A great BD too, though only in stereo given the age. But the picture is stunning, and is in the high 30s mbps the whole time. It's another in a line of fantastic Criterion BDs that will make you fall in love with 35mm all over again.

Chris, you must be young if this movie was before your time. Then again, I forget a lot of time has passed [already].
