hi:
please help me,I think i need a scaler to fix my problem with porches on pal material. I have read in this and other forums about scalers but I cant seem to sort out what i need. I only have one source, a sony blu ray player connected to a sony 1292 and I need to know which scaler I can connect with my blu ray player. I use 1080p and it really looks great so if i just can find out how to fix the porch problem everything should be fine!

Hi Reinheart, what part of the world are you in?

How do you have the Sony Bluray connected to the 1292?

Lumagen Vision HDP or VisionPro HDP, plus an HDMI input card for your PJ.

My setup is: BD-Player into Lumagen VisionPro HDP using HDMI/DVI, output through HDMI/DVI into Moome ISS-HD card in a NEC ISS-6020 switcher, then RGBHV into the PJ.

Pal 720p 50Hz/75Hz (-Hsync/-Vsync) needs modified Porch's but for 1080p 50Hz Blu-rays I dont recall having to adjust my porchs much..

You need to reduce your porches Using A Scaler if the image isn't filling the Raster Width with the projectors adjustments Maxed out

I think you can only adjust the "H front porch on the Lumagen not "H back porch Directly at least thats how the Lumagen Radiance is ..
the DVDO VP50/Pro allows adjustment of the Front & back porches DVDO's system is pretty much like Power Strip..

Cheers..
