When he closed down the corporation?!
It seems there has to be some ability to track him down.
It is simply unethical for him to be able to disappear after manufacturing devices which cost many thousands of dollars. There have to be service manuals and such somewhere, but I know he didn't willingly devulge much information. I got SOME of his service-level access information back when I was a dealer...a million years ago.
I traced something on-line to an address in MICHIGAN, about two hours north of me near Saginaw.
Here is the address I found, and the link: 6860 North River Road Freeland, MI 48623-9269.
http://www.spoke.com/info/pMizha/EdwardBagjian
Names associated with this include an Adolpho Schultz as well. Same address.
All we want is information to repair the HD-P500 and HD-700s in the field that he made his living off of for many years.
Cheers, you folks love a good mystery...doncha?!
John

Well I suppose if you were really serious about finding him you could search around court records and find out which law firm represented him in the Faroudja/Dwin law suit. I'm sure they can find him.

Someone that used to work there must still have a interest in "home theater" and should know how to contact him.
Post this in some popular digital display forums or cedia threads/forums. I'm sure someone will eventually see it and reply.
As they have no interest in making money supporting this equipment, there's no reason to hold back the schematics and service manuals. I for one would be thrilled to find out that people are still using and would like to continue using my designs. I would provide that information is a heartbeat.

Stefuel,
That's how I feel...Edward was a solid and ethical man who based his entire company on providing reliable performing product at a very reasonable price. Sure, he smoked like a chimney...and occasionally you could only get a grunt out of him in response...but he always was a man of his word.
Unfortunately, for years, that word was he'd not let that service info out of his hands...
Cheers,
John

Last I talked to DWIN at CES, probably 2004, they said they only have schematics in massive blueprints. Sure wish I had those now.
I did end up with engineering copies of the Zenith pro 900 chassis from Knoll... VERY nice to work with, those big prints. No magnifying glass needed for these aging eyes with those!

Come to think of it, when I told them I had the owner's manuals for everything they made, they were impressed...or dazzled.
I've got a few old remotes, and more of those t-handled allen wrenches than I can shake my stick at!
LOL...we are truly in outer space on this one. After last weekend's debacle...along with the resurgence of my desire to help my musician friends in Detroit have the best sound systems and live mix they could imagine...and with my habit of recording everything (which finally was recognized as valuable after one of our 'leaders' died suddenly last week)...I may bow out of CRTs and everything hifi, for good.
I haven't made that decision yet, but I have to choose where to direct my considerable talents and gifts...where they have the greatest value.
I cannot believe I'm considering leaving the industry that has paid my bills since 1981...but I sorta DID that during my extended sabbatical these past three years.
Sigh,
John
