TV/Projector: CTC-16 , Novabeam 100 , KV34XBR910 , XG85 , 9500LC Ultra

Sorry , I will be more specific . Before I did any enlargement of the image , I had noted that the focus board heat-sink runs VERY hot. Projector runs perfectly and is centered sized and toe'd in well within spec. also using minimum electronic correction.

I just want to know if it is normal for the focus STK's to run hot in the XG series .

Days later I decided to widen the image and use more electronic correction and have noted that all the STK's remain within the same temp range as before with only the focus being hot.

So I ask , is there any XG owners out here able to place their hand on the bottom cover of their unit after it has run for a while to confirm if it is normal for this heat-sink to run so hot ?

I understand what you are asking. You mentioned how far out you went on the tube and I was just letting you know that it isn't a free lunch. As for temps, I think someone measured temps years ago and posted it over at AVS.
