I am not exactly sure where those reviews originated(because they are nonsense), I have and still use a VGA to component cable on BOTH the Moome and Fury products and they work fine on my component video switcher without a hitch. Just make sure(and it looks like it is) that the VGA is the "male" end of the connector to fit the Moome, otherwise there shouldn't be any problems. Also confirm the RGB/YPrPb switch is set to YPbPr on the Moome, the conversion is already being done within the Moome converter, no need for a transcoder.
