Hey guys and girls
My 1271's blue convergence is always a fair way out (about half an inch) whenever the projector is cold and I turn it on. I have to realign it (Im using the RGBHV input, 1280x720p) every time I use the projector. PJ has about 3000 hours on it.
Can I fix this? Its bloody annoying!

If you mean that whole blue raster is moving with temperature, it could be simple mechanical issue.
Check that all tube and lens screws are secured.
Astig rings adjustments at tubes neck could be way out. Project some test grid and turn electronic focus knob to see if whole raster is moving. If it moves with focus, astig rings need to be readjusted.
Could also be problem at projectors some board...

Sometimes the whole picture (all three tubes) "jumps" to the left about two inches and then immediately flicks back to the right where it started. This happens regardless of whether Im displaying an input from the htpc or a built in test pattern. Do I need to replace the caps on the PCBs? What could cause this?
