Reds are extremely dull, and greens and yellows are indistinguishable. Not sure how it happened, and no idea how to get it back looking decent.
I thought it might be the port 3 input i was using, but I switched to port 5 and it's the same story.
Anyone know where I should begin?

You should begin by telling us what sort of projector it is.

Touche' sir, I just panicked and made a post.
It's a Barco Graphics 1208.
I want to say the culprit is the red tube at this time. I can look directly into the red lense with no discomfort. Blue and Green are blinding. Just now did a G2 adjustment so that is in order but had no effect on the red tube.

Are all the connections firm on the neck board?

sounds like a dead tube or bad neck-board. You can swap neck-boards with Blue and see if the problem follows. Luckily used good Red tubes are common

To isolate whether the problem is the neckboard or the tube, I just swap the red and green signal leads that connect to the neckboards and see if the problem follows the lead, right?

Swapping leads would simply check the Video board and that's highly unlikely for low emission.

Do both. I have had RGB input boards cause low gain (rare but possible), but do swap the whole CRT socket/video amp over. Let us know. I've got all the spare parts you need as well to get back up and running.

I swapped the the leads and the problem didn't follow. I've left the projector unplugged since last night with the power button on so hopefully the thing will be discharged before I mess with swapping the neck boards.
Thanks alot yall!

There's no high voltage on the neck boards. Go swap them!

I had this very same problem a couple of years ago and changing the red tube is what finally fixed it.
But with my 12xx, my red is fading away again so I am wondering if there is anything a Barco chassis could cause a red tube to blow out. I know Marquee had a filament issue with their sets. Aren't the filament voltages all tied common in a Barco set? Other than too high of filament voltage, how else could a chassis ruin a red gun over time? Right now I have my red white balance slammed all the way max for the picture to look watchable. But with normal settings my symptoms would be very similar to the OP.

In that case I'm swapping those neck boards on my lunch break. I saw a capacitor almost the size of my fist under the hood of this thing...and I don't know what it's connected to. Not sure if this is normal or not, but I got a pretty hefty tingle while touching one of the neck boards with one hand and the case with another hand while I was connecting the jumper for G-2 adjustment.

I swapped the red and green neck boards with one another. No dice. Green is fine and red is still dim...and bleeds to the right.
Pulled the RGB switcher card and reseated it. No dice there either.
Tube not getting enough HV?

It does indeed sound like a bad tube. I've got them if you need one.

Yes they comes from same line and that line is usually stable.

It's probably just ageing, red doesn't wear so fast that others so it's leaved in when blue and green tubes are swapped. So in many projectors red tube have least twice as much hours that blue and green.

Good news for pirate is that makes them also cheap to buy

The projector has a run time of 7001 hours. Does that include standby time? I always leave it in standby.
