Hi. I am in the middle of a remodel at my home and I want to use HDMI Decora inserts to manage all my HDMI connections on a wall plate. I just think this would be a cleaner look instead of having all my HDMI cables just come right out of the wall. Here is an example of what I want to use.

I want to know if using this type of installation method for my HDMI cables will affect the integrity or performance of my HDMI cables. If I am using 1.4 cables will using these inserts hinder any of the features. More specifically 3D? Any information on this would be greatly appreciated.

I always recommend avoiding normal passive wall plates. All you're doing is inserting an extra failure point and increasing the odds (especially with long runs) of HDMI failure.
The only times I would use an HDMI wallplate is as an input source for auxiliary inputs, etc.
For static installations, run a cable straight through and out of the wall, use whatever hole or scoop plate as needed to make it look clean. Usually this is never an issue as it's behind gear/tv/etc.
As far as degrading signal quality or impairing features, that is not a concern. HDMI is basically all or nothing.
