I am using a Samsung 3d blu-ray dvd player to a DLP 3d Projector with a VGA input.
Why do I need a scaler?
Also
Will the EXT-FULLHD v3 3D: Universal HDMI 1.4 work with a Atlona AT-HD550 HDMI UP/Down Scaler/Converter? instead of the Lumagen 3d Scaler?

in this case you don't need the Moome EXT v3 box. U need a scaler when using EXT V3 to convert 1080p-3D down to 720p-3D because EXT V3 can only get 720p-3D. So I do't really get your point....

Thanks for the reply Prover, I need the EXT-FULLHD v3 3D as my Dlp projector has only VGA input and the Samsung 3d player only has Hdmi output, so I'm using the EXT-FULLHD v3 3D to change over to VGA. Ok I get why I need the scaler great help, thanks for your knowledge!!
I'l check the output on the Atlona scaler.
Cheers

I just purchased a new Onkyo TX-NR809 receiver with HDMI inputs and outputs replacing my older Denon AVR-5700 receiver (http://www.google.com/search?q=denon+avr-5700&rls=com.microsoft:en-us&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&startIndex=&startPage=1) which doesn't have any.
I'm still using my Pioneer SD-643HD5 HD rear projection monitor which only has component and S-video connections. I understand the Moome Card will enable me to go HDMI out from my receiver into my TV and retain all functionality of both units. Kal here at Curt Palme was kind enough to recommend I use the Moome EXT-FULLHDv3 box which converts HDMI to component.
Is the Moome the best solution for my needs? I've read about the HDF**y products and seen positive and negative comments about both products. From what I can tell the Moome is the best solution - what do you think and what experience have you had with these products?
Also, how do I order the Moome? When I'm on their website and click on Order Now I'm sent to a page with Japanese which I don't read...

I am using the EXT-FULLHD V3 3D for a time now and I am really satisfied with the performance. I can really recommend the moome solution for you. I have ordered my box as it was still in the "products for sale" section of the forum, but when you go to his page http://www.moomecard.com/ you will find a redirection for purchasing the boxes via paypal. Anyway you can contact moome via email (moome.liu@gmail.com) and clarify this purchase thing.
cheers,

Ext FullHD V. 3 - I'm not sure my last post went thru,
Hi Guys, I trying to hook up an Acer x1161p DLP projector to a Samsung BD-C5500 Blu-Ray 3d player and am getting the 'Samsung player does not detect a 3d supported device' message and it will not play in 3d, 2d plays just fine.
My video sequence is: Samsung BD-C5500 (1080p) > HDMI 1.4>Atlona AT-HD550 HDMI to HDMI up/down Converter and Scaler (720p)> HDMI 1.4 > Ext FullHD V3 > VGA > Acer X1161p DLP Projector.
The Atlona Scaler is '3D Enabled' and the guys from Atlona assure me that it will send out 3d at 720p @ 60 hz.Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong will be appreciated.
Cheers,

Hi ok i have switched to a SONY BDP-S570 3D blue-ray player and set its HDMI output to 720p. My video sequence is now:
SONY BDP-S570 3D blue-ray player >> HDMI 1.4 >>Ext FullHD V3 >>VGA >> Acer x1161p 3d ready Projector
On the Ext FullHD V3 the SW1 #5 switch is set to the K side, all others to the E side. the 12 bit light is green and the 10 bit light is blinking red.
What I'm getting using from a 3d Blu-Ray disc is four very clear blinking images of the playing dvd, one image in each corner of the screen- blinking about every .5 sec. (in sync with the 10 bit red blinking light).
Is there any way to get these images to converge and stop blinking?

Hello..? can someone tell me how to adjust the up/down and left/right on the Ext FullHD V3 converter and get the blinking to stop? I understand that the RadianceXS 3D or similar is recommended, but I am getting a picture by just changing the 3d DVD player output to 720p. This must count for something..?

Hi,
the question is what does the player put out fro a frequency at 720p? As already mentioned the EXT V3 needs for 3D 120Hz or 100Ht at 720p. All other frequencies will not lead to anything from my point of view. So this is something you have to check but I am pretty sure that the BD-player doesn't allow to change the frequency. I suppose it will output 60Hz.
