|
|
I recently had a dream about CRT projectors. ..... Here it goes....
I was in the Caribbean (St. Lucia..maybe) SCUBA diving and in the the back of the dive shop after the dive I found a Barco 808 partially dismantled handging from the ceiling along with a few other Barco's on a set of metal shelving. I also spotted a G90 and took an interest. I really don't remember much more but what really strikes me as strange is the fact that I own a Marquee and have only every owned Electrohome projectors, none of which where a part of my dream.....strange. Have you had any CRT dreams? Oddly enough, lately I've been dreaming that I'm watching movies. I guess I enjoy watching movies.

I drempt I was on vacation and the place we were renting had a d!gital projector with a terrible picture. Fortunately my own living room was just around the corner so I could go get a CRT to setup. It gave me that "AHHHHHHH much better" feeling in the dream.
Of course in the dream I also had the 1252 set up in 30 seconds flat

I pulled the lenses to clean and check for glycol leaks and the tubes were gone and LED panels were there in place of them

I dream all the time that someone offers me $15k for my four 909s and one G90.
Curt I haven't forgotten. I just haven't had time to work on them.

I've had a dream(?) where we were having a bunch of people over and the night before the projector worked fine, but the night it was needed it wouldn't even turn on. It ended with me on the phone with Curt who was telling me I needed to jump start it using a car and jumper cables. I woke up when we were trying to take it down so we could get it into the garage.

Do daydreams count???
1 - I won a big lottery.
2 - I called Tim and ordered two NEW Marquee's specially built with one of them having reverse Blue/Red positions and fast green tubes
3 - I called Tim and ordered the New Analogway flagship blend box (as long as it truly has user customizable resolutions).
4 - Got the best building contractor I know to build a HT in my basement set up for rear projection with a 10' wide 2.40 AR, 1.0 gain custom Stewart screen installed in the wall.
5 - Built an adjustable stand for each of the Marquee's to be moved around the rear and maintain a lens plane parallel to the screen.
6 - Called Craigr to set it all up, calibrate it, and do his 3D stuff to it.
7 - Bought the most comfortable seats I could find and bought every BD I could find.
8 - Have a HT meet with other crazies.
And that is just the video portion!!!

That wasn't a dream. It was real, but I was very drunk and on mushrooms. Sorry about that!
I once repaired a TV in a dream. It was back in the 80s when I was working at the TV shop. I worked on one set for a few hours, couldn't figure it out. Left at the end of the day pissed off. Went to bed, had a dream of an approach I hadn't tried, remembered it, went to work, tried it, and sure enough that was it. That completely freaked me out.

Now that's a productive dream Curt!
So sort of along the same lines my dream home theater I've been enjoying for the last years is about to be gone....well actually....I will be gone. I'm moving! So basically one little dream ends and a new one will begin.

I had a dream that I won a Government auction for a bunch of 909's but didn't notice I had to pick up -NO SHIPPING!- it was a remote location that could only be helicoptered into and I couldn't go in on a military craft, I missed the pick up by date and they were going to charge me for the removal and disposal cost.

Was I part of that dream?
I had a dream where I was dating a well endowed (9" tubes) female that worked at VDC. For some reason, I still couldn't get a Marquee.
