Hiiii!
Question for the experts... under the super secret menu there is a setting called 'internal video' that controls the brightness of the internally generated patterns and all menus displayed.
It was originally set to 71 (I think) on my 9500LC, sooo anyways;
As I was doing a full setup from scratch on everything on the projector, I lowered it thinking I could make the brightness/contrast display boxes less annoying when touching up during a movie, since this setting does not affect the incoming video (just the internally generated stuff).
I realized after doing this that now since the internally generated patterns are at a different level, I cannot use the grayscale step pattern any longer as a reference for G2 adjustment.
Unfortunately I cannot seem to bring it back to the exact original setting since there are several 'clicks/steps' per integer increase or decrease and I cannot seem to nail down G2 properly anymore using it.
My G2 numbers seem higher than before to make it right with the internal step pattern, regular video looks wrong now, too bright.
It's pretty obvious I should have left this alone and I am no longer at the previous 'good' reference 'internal video' value.
I might have to end up setting G2 with a HTPC generated grayscale patter now...
Anyways, my question is, could any of you tell me what the exact value for this 'internal video' setting is on your marquee?
Could you let me know exactly as in eg: 70 +2 clicks ...
Would be soso grateful!

OOops. Yeah you don't need anyone to whack you for playing around in there, you already figured that out....but I'd put your flame suit on anywayze.
Can you null the user adjustable brightness, contrast, and G2's (per Tim's guide at etechvideo.com) and if need be go back and forth to the Super Secret menu and an external greyscale pattern and adjust the 'clicks' to get close? (And then use a probe and Kal's Greyscale for Dummies guide to fine tune).

Hello
Default is 70, that should take care of any situation involving G2 setup; turn it down after if you wish.
